Established in 2019, Nene Barn Hens is located in rural Lincolnshire (pronounced 'neen' after the River Nene).
We are a family run business and operate out of our country farmhouse which we share with our farm cats, crazy spaniel, quail, and of course our cherished chickens.
Our founder, Lorna has been raising chickens for over fifteen years. She has an active Instagram page with over 36k followers who all receive daily hints and tips on chicken keeping: @chickens_and_hens.
Lorna is also a volunteer for the British Hen Welfare Trust, a distance learning tutor on chicken keeping courses, and member of the Poultry Club of Great Britain.
When not looking after the many animals at Nene Barn Hens, Lorna is a university lecturer, writer, and researcher.
